Reporting to the Underwriting Department, you will manage the underwriting process to achieve the department’s objectives, applying your advanced understanding of medical and financial underwriting techniques, and keeping abreast of industry trends and developments.
You value collaboration and teamwork. You contribute to training and team analysis and discussion, and actively participate in improvement projects.
Your future responsibilities
- Analyze and support customer requests for reinsurance pricing and renewals;
- Liaise with other departments to share knowledge;
- Apply your technical knowledge to complex files;
- Participate in industry activities and maintain relationships with clients and partners;
- Supervise the files of more junior advisors and provide advice and training as required.
Your profil
- University degree or other relevant field of study;
- A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in underwriting in the life reinsurance sector and in pricing complex business;
- Knowledge of DI and CI (an asset);
- FLMI and FALU certification (a definite asset);
- Autonomous, rigorous and analytical;
- Bilingualism (asset).
